Great opportunity for a Registered Nurse with flexible hours and no skilled nursing required! The SASH Wellness Nurse position is 15-20 hours per week. The position is:
- responsible for provision and/or oversight of wellness care
- coaching for SASH participants in accordance with Vermont’s Nurse Practice Act
- oversees the well-being of participants and in coordinating health services with other members of the SASH Team and other community providers.
- supports a philosophy of aging in place consistent with the mission of SASH.
- works with the SASH Team on developing individual participant Healthy Living Plans as well as Community Healthy Living Plans.

Employment and Education Coordinator
Brattleboro Housing Partnerships is accepting resumes for the Employment and Education Coordinator position. This position is a yearly grant funded position through the Department of Housing and Urban Development grant program. The full time Coordinator position is responsible for all duties and activities under the grant and ensures that all grant goals and measures are achieved. Applicants must have strong computer skills including being proficient in Microsoft office applications, social media methods, and video communication platforms. Applicants must have demonstrated interpersonal skills, solid professional boundaries and experience working with low-income families.
Duties include but are not limited to: Growing the program through participant enrollment and engagement, participant defined goal focused programming and training through community agency collaboration, service connections to overcome barriers, data tracking and one on one client meetings. The Brattleboro Housing Authority d/b/a Brattleboro Housing Partnerships (BHP) Executive Director (ED) and Board of Commissioners (BOC) are launching a strategic planning process that will outline its strategic goals for the next five years. The purpose of this request for proposal (RFP) is to solicit the services of a consultant to facilitate the strategic planning process. The selected consultant will solicit input from a diverse group of stakeholders including, external stakeholders, staff, Commissioners, and resident focus groups.
The mission of the Brattleboro Housing Partnerships is to ensure the provision of quality affordable housing in viable communities for lower-income households. BHP houses 42% of the total number of persons at or below the poverty level in the Town of Brattleboro in seven housing neighborhoods through over 135 Section 8 vouchers and two housing grant programs. BHP administers two resident services programs: Support And Services at Home (SASH) and Family Self- Sufficiency (FSS). BHP works closely with the U.S. Department of HUD, the Town of Brattleboro, and area agencies and organizations to provide services and opportunities to our residents and the entire community. BHP includes a 5-member Board of Commissioners and 18 full-time staff members.
BHP is in the process of completing several large projects and recently received HUD approval to become a Moving To Work (MTW) agency. The MTW allocation allows BHP flexibility to work more closely with our agencies and advocacy groups to bring creative solutions to the housing needs of our community. The strategic plan and the MTW plan will need to be aligned.
Working closely with the ED and the BOC Chair, the contractor will develop a timeline and process for the strategic planning steps, facilitate stakeholder meetings, collect, and organize feedback, draft a plan with board approved metrics.
In addition to drafting a formal plan the board requests an informal letter from the contractor to the board with additional thoughts about the board’s strengths and weaknesses and opportunities for areas of growth.
BHP’s goal is to have the strategic planning process begin in September 2021 and occur over four-six weeks. The time commitment will be approximately 4-6 hours per week, hours may vary week to week.
The proposal for services should include:
• Introductory letter expressing interest, an overview of experience and skills, and proposed rate for outlined work
• Resume and client references, preferably related to similar work
