Two Job Openings in Our Finance Department!

  1. Finance Manager:   Brattleboro Housing Partnerships owns and manages over 300 units of low income and affordable housing. Agency has multiple funders of a wide variety of programs for residents/participants and housing development. There are four substantial property re-development and  comprehensive program changes underway. The FM is responsible for the strategic, significant one time and day-to-day financial operations including continuous improvement and maintenance of accounting systems (including computer software), reimbursement, budget and payroll. The position involves financial management, reporting and compliance to multiple funders and oversight agencies.  Position ensures that all work meets the standards, format and requirements of all program funders/partners as well as GAAP and other relevant accounting standards. Must be able to work in a high functioning team environment. High standards of professional accountability and motivation highly desired. 2. Accounting Assistant: The Brattleboro Housing Partnerships seeks a self-motivated person to fill this part-time position. Duties include accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. The successful applicant will have experience with all of these functions, proficient computer skills, willingness and ability to learn; and an ability to work independently and as part of a team.  Must be proficient in Excel; able to learn new computer software and have experience with accounting software. Obsessive attention to detail is necessary.  Must be able to lift and carry 30 pounds and have a valid driver’s license. Must be bondable. The position is for 20 hours per week though this may vary depending on monthly accounting flow.
