Part-time Support And Services at Home (SASH) Coordinator

Brattleboro Housing Partnerships has an immediate opening for a part-time Support And Services at Home (SASH) Coordinator based in Brattleboro, Vermont. The primary function of the Support and Services at Home (SASH) Coordinator is to build trusting relationships with participants in SASH in order to develop a thorough knowledge of each SASH participant’s strengths and challenges as they pertain to remaining safely in his or her home.  The goal of the SASH model is to enhance the coordination of person-centered health and wellness services in order to assist residents to remain in their homes as their health and functional needs change.

Qualifications:  Must possess a Bachelors Degree in Social Work or equivalent combination of background and experience.  Previous experience coordinating services specifically for the senior or adult with disability client population is preferred.  Knowledge of area resources and programs available to seniors and adults with disabilities, including transportation, health services, and recreational activities is essential.  Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication is required. Must have knowledge of and an appreciation for the heritage, values, and wisdom of each resident and a commitment to the philosophy of a person’s choice to age at home.  Must possess a valid driver’s license.  A working knowledge of MSWord and Publisher is highly desirable.

This is a 20 hour a week, non-exempt position with a competitive salary.

Full time job opening- Laborer/Custodian

The Brattleboro Housing Partnerships is looking to hire a Maintenance Laborer/Custodian to work within its Maintenance Team. The Laborer/Custodian is an entry position in the Maintenance Department. Duties include operating and maintaining a wide variety of maintenance equipment including large lawn mowers, snow plows, power washers and trucks. This position is responsible for many outside maintenance duties such as lawn mowing, snow removal and inside cleaning of common areas in residential and office buildings. The successful candidate will have some experience in these areas and be willing to learn. They must be able to carry 50 pounds, stand and be on ladders for extended periods. Must have current Driver’s License with good driving record. Employment screening includes a driving record, criminal, court and Adult Protective Services records check.
